What Orbit does

Orbit takes approved time and absence out of operations+ and lands it in payroll without a spreadsheet in the middle. Approvals stay where managers already work; payroll gets a clean file.

What moves between the systems

• Approved timesheets: sent with hours, rates and cost codes attached.

• Absence and leave: reflected against the same people record used for rotas.

• Change history: kept on both sides so a payroll query can be answered in one place.

Setting it up

1. Authorise Orbit with a payroll administrator account.

2. Map pay elements to the time types you use in operations+.

3. Run one period in parallel, compare, then cut over.
